The Lisman Volunteer Fire Department is a volunteer department located in the South NFPA region and headquartered in Lisman, AL. The fire department is located at 261 Municipal drive, Lisman, Alabama 36912. The department was established in 1979 on land donated by a prominent citizen of the town.

The fire department provides fire protection and emergency response services to the citizens and residents in district four (4) along with Scott Mountain Volunteer Fire Department. The fire department’s mission is to prevent the loss of life and property. In addition to responding to fires, the Lisman Volunteer Fire Department also responds to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, rescue calls, and incidents involving hazardous materials. The department has a designated landing zone for medical helicopters.
